I am utterly and totally, completely in love with paper. And rolling paper. And making shapes out of rolled paper. And making art out of shapes of rolled paper.  And making a difference with the art of  shapes of rolled paper.

I began my affair with paper way back when in the college days of writing papers and pulling all-nighters. At first it was merely an activity to keep my hands and mind busy as everyone else slept. But after years of making paper flowers, paper boxes and modular origami, I began paper quilling. Slowly rolling, rolling, rolling. Soon the practice of quilling became my meditation, and eventually one of my passions.

Unsatisfied with only night quilling, I craved a creative outlet that would have an added bonus of contributing in a financially positive way. Misguided that art was no way to make money, I instead chose to do graphic design where I was introduced to my second passion - color. In the two years that I worked with clients, I immersed myself in color theory and practice.

Throughout school and days at work, I continued to play with paper and design. Color combinations and new designs filled my head constantly and often woke me with a start in the middle of the night with a compulsion to get my fingers to work. I slowly began to show and sell some of my creations.

After doing a few Holiday card fundraisers for local animal rescue organizations, I realized that even though I may not be able to donate money or foster, I can at least donate my time and paper quilled cards to raise funds for these incredible rescue organizations.

Full circle, I now find myself once again night quilling, but also day quilling. Albeit, a bit differently and with profoundly more satisfaction. I design and quill cards for all different occasions, making each card with love and with one purpose - to give a smile and to help save the lives of animals. I connect with hundreds of other quillers with similar paper passion, lead online tutorials, join quilling groups and continue to create works of art and commissioned pieces for festivals and people who find me here and on Facebook. All of the proceeds from the cards help save the lives of countless abused and neglected animals. This website represents my gratitude to what paper has given me and the joy it brings to my life. It is a place where I can share what I know and pay it forward, not only by giving smiles, but also by donating the proceeds to animal rescue. All together, paper quilling, giving smiles and changing the world one card at a time makes me whole - it makes a whole business, a whole passion and one very happy paper artist.

Animal rescue is my purpose.

Paper quilling is my passion.

Putting a smile on someone's face is my pleasure.
